My (Old school) School Teacher By Ronald Jenkins Mrs. Rice had her Queenly control over her class and all things went smoothly. This was back in 1957 and I would say, she was a teachers, teacher. Not a peep was tolerated and all eyes forward. She took her students very seriously and made sure if you got out of line you would get harshly scolded and a few whacks bent over a desktop with two one inch thick books. Personally I was afraid of her and so much that I did not want to ask for anything directly to her. This was so stressful that I could not even ask to go to the bathroom when I had to urinate one day. I sat there holding until I thought I was going to burst. It got to the point where I just let it go and relieved my self sitting there at my desk. What a puddle I left under me. I did not say a word and no One noticed. Of course it was time for recess soon after this so completely embarrassed moping out side I decided to sit in the dirty gravel out on the play ground and cover my wet pants up with that dirty gravel. Soon it was time to go in and I got up reluctently brushed off the gravel and to my surprise I had wet muddy dirt sticking all over the wet areas of my pants and I stuck out like a sore thumb. As we all went back inside Mrs. Rice was standing at the doorway looking out like an overseer finally noticed my little dilemma and slightly smiled, than said," Oh dear you should have asked me to go to the lavatory, its alright dear."
